Heating Inspection Checklist

A heating inspection checklist helps facility teams, property managers, and service technicians check heating equipment before the cold season, during routine maintenance, after tenant complaints, or after repair work. It covers thermostats, furnaces, boilers, radiators, heat pumps, vents, ductwork, gas lines, electrical connections, piping, safety devices, and visible performance issues.

This checklist is useful for apartment buildings, rental properties, offices, schools, hotels, warehouses, commercial facilities, and other managed sites that depend on reliable heating. It helps identify poor airflow, blocked vents, leaks, unusual noise, ignition problems, damaged components, uneven heating, thermostat issues, safety risks, and systems that require technician follow-up.

With TARGPatrol, heating inspections can be assigned as scheduled digital checks or service tasks. Technicians can follow the checklist on-site, attach photos, record temperature readings, describe defects, set priorities, create work orders, and confirm follow-up actions after repairs or seasonal maintenance.
