Language and Locale
TARGPatrol supports English, German, Spanish, French, Portuguese, and Russian. In the web app, Locale controls language and regional formatting. The mobile app follows the device language as explained below. Timezone is separate and determines local time and reporting-period boundaries.
Personal-account language
Choose your preferred language in your personal-account settings. This controls personal-account pages. It does not override the Locale stored for your user in an organization.
Language inside an organization
The organization Locale supplies initial settings when the organization and its first users are created. Each user also has a Locale in Team. In the web app, the organization interface follows that user’s Locale, not just the personal-account language. On mobile, the device language controls the interface instead.
Language in the mobile app
The current mobile app follows the device language when that language is supported; otherwise it falls back to English. This is separate from the organization interface in the web app. Change the phone’s language and return to the app to refresh the interface. French is supported alongside the other available languages.
On mobile, the user’s Locale is preferred for dates, times, and numbers only when its language matches the device language. Otherwise the app uses a supported locale for the device language. Locale and timezone remain different settings.
PDF language and organization-specific names
Web task, Incident, and Issue PDF exports use the current organization user’s locale for built-in headings and date formats. An Incident PDF requested from mobile uses the locale currently resolved by the mobile app. Names entered by your organization, such as states, Types, and Categories, remain as entered and are not translated automatically.
If the interface is still in another language
For the web organization interface, check the user’s Locale in Team and reopen the organization after changing it. For mobile, check the device language and return to the app. If a custom state or category name is still in another language, edit that organization data; changing Locale does not translate it.
