Medical Assistant Skills Checklist
Medical Assistant Competency (Skills) Checklist is a structured tool for evaluating whether a medical assistant can perform core clinical and administrative tasks safely, accurately, and according to internal protocols. It helps assess day-to-day competencies such as patient preparation, vital signs collection, intake support, specimen handling, exam room setup, documentation, communication, infection control, and basic emergency awareness.
In TARGPatrol, this checklist can be used during onboarding, probation, routine performance reviews, cross-training, or remedial assessments. Supervisors can complete evaluations directly from a smartphone or tablet, mark pass/fail items, add comments, record numeric scores, and attach photo evidence where needed. This makes the assessment process more standardized and easier to document than paper forms or fragmented supervisor notes.
